Pickup Trucks I've Owned

With all the ATV's, boats, airplane projects, and MG parts I have to move from one place to another in the course of my activities, a good pickup truck is an essential piece of equipment. Below are featured the pickups which have each served me well in their own time:

IMAGEThis '73 C-20 was purchased new by my father shortly before I was born. It is almost like a member of the family so when it finally succumbed to the rust demon I couldn't bring myself to just scrap it. So for lack of better judgement, I sacrificed a couple of years working on other projects in order to resurrect the poor thing. I think it will have been worthwhile if I can get another 10-15 years of occasional towing/hauling use out of it, since I have the Jeep for my daily driver.
IMAGEThis is the 1978 Chevy C-10 pickup which dad and I built when I was in high school. It was given to us with the original Oldsmobile diesel engine DOA. My dad took one look at that monstrosity and determined that we should install a 350 gas engine, and we spent the next couple of years building the truck. I drove it for a couple of years before selling it to my brother, who drove it for 2-3 more years at which point it wasn't good for much else besides parts. The cab and some of the body parts were salvaged for the '73 chevy (above), the engine was sold, and the rest scrapped.
IMAGEThis beautiful '94 S-10 replaced the C-10 as my college transportation. It was always utterly reliable, enjoyable to drive, got good gas mileage, and drew more than its share of both praise and criticism due to the color. I didn't really want to sell it, but after buying my Jeep it became surplus to my needs. I'm going to miss it.
